How it works

  1. 1

    Add your trips

Enter past and upcoming Schengen entries and exits. An ongoing trip counts up to today automatically.

  2. 2

    See your days

The dashboard shows days used and remaining for today, your 180-day window, and when days return.

  3. 3

    Plan & travel

Simulate future trips, get reminders, and carry a PDF report — all on your device, even offline.

What is the Schengen 90/180-day rule?

Most non-EU visitors may stay at most 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the Schengen Area. For every day of your stay you look back over the previous 180 days; the date of entry and the date of exit each count as a day of stay. An uninterrupted absence of 90 days restores a fresh 90-day allowance. The rule is defined in the EU Schengen Borders Code, and the European Commission publishes an official short-stay calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Schengen 90/180 rule work?

You may spend up to 90 days in any 180-day period in the Schengen Area. The 180-day window “rolls”: for each day you count the days of presence in the previous 180 days. Entry and exit days both count, and days return as older stays slide out of the window.

Is this Schengen calculator accurate?

Yes. The app uses the same rolling-window method as the official EU Short-Stay Calculator and is verified against the European Commission’s published worked examples.

Is it free?

You can use every feature free for 7 days. After that a single one-time purchase unlocks the app forever — there is no subscription.

Does it work offline?

Yes. All calculations and your data stay on your device. It works at border control with no signal, and no account is required.

Which countries does the 90/180 rule cover?

The Schengen Area’s 29 countries, including non-EU members Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. Ireland and Cyprus are not part of the borderless area; the UK does not count.

What about ETIAS and the EES?

The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) now records crossings automatically, and ETIAS travel authorisation is being introduced. Accurate day tracking matters more than ever — this app helps you stay within the 90/180 limit.

Do both the entry and exit day count toward my 90 days?

Yes. Every calendar day you are in the Schengen Area counts once — including the day you arrive and the day you leave — no matter how many hours or nights. Even a single-day visit uses one of your 90 days.

Are the 90 days counted per country or for the whole Schengen Area?

For the whole area combined. Days in Germany, France, Spain and any other Schengen state all add up to the same 90-day total — they are not tracked separately per country.

Do my days reset each time I leave the Schengen Area?

No. The 180-day window keeps rolling, so a quick exit resets nothing. Used days only drop off once they are more than 180 days in the past, and a fresh 90-day allowance returns only after a long enough continuous absence for earlier stays to leave the window.

What happens if I overstay the 90/180 limit?

Even a one-day overstay can lead to fines, an entry ban of 1–5 years, deportation, and difficulty getting future visas. Tracking your days accurately is the simplest way to avoid an accidental overstay.

Does a national long-stay (type D) visa or residence permit count toward the 90/180 limit?

No. Days spent on a national long-stay (type D) visa or a residence permit of a Schengen country do not count against the 90-day short-stay allowance. The 90/180 rule applies to visa-free stays and short-stay (type C) visas.

Now that passport stamps are being replaced by the EES, how do I count my days?

Since the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) went live, most non-EU travellers are registered digitally with biometrics instead of an ink stamp. With no stamp to count by hand, keeping your own accurate record matters more — this app uses the same method as the official EU calculator, so your count matches the border system.
